On this project, the truss bridge, We have to design a bridge out of balsa wood and wood glue and hold weight.It has to be 30 cm to 40 cm long.I can that this project is really fun.I learned to do truss calculations, which was a bit hard! I also learned how calculate bridge efficiency and free body diagrams.All in all this project was fun and great way to learn about forces and trigonometry.
Another project that I like is the Paper Tower. In this project we have to build a tower out of 10 sheets of papers, 36 in masking tape, and has to be at least 32 inches long. Also, it has to withstand strong wind and earthquake. I like this because it tested my brain on how can i make an idea that will work. I learned in this project that you have use what resources you have and make it work. Another is that measuring precisely, without you able to meet the requirements of the project.
One of the projects that really challenged me is the marble sorter. It asks us to build a system which can sort marbles according to much light is coming through it. One that I've learned is programming, programing is really not that easy, for a machine to work you have put many commands and the right materials to do the job. Another would be building and design, starting a design will give a rough draft on how will a project works.Building is the part because it involves using your brain a lot and finding the right materials for it. This project really made me try my best.
